3 Important Dog Sleep Positions

Like humans, dogs enjoy their sleep in different positions on beds for pets in Brisbane. The primary sleeping position of dogs can be identified by which part of body they are lying on. Each of the positions may have small modifications and speak a lot about dog’s mood and comfort level.

Most common positions in which dogs sleep are

  • Dog is sleeping on its back with all four paws in air: This position is considered to be most vulnerable position, and if your pet is in this position, it means that it is having a high level of comfort and security in the surroundings.
  • Dog sleeping on its side with outstretched legs: This is one of the most comfortable positions for your pet. This posture helps dog to relax and it feels cool as there is plenty of air-flow around its belly.
  • Dog sleeping on its stomach: Most dogs relax in this position if they are not in a deep state of sleep, may be at times when their legs and other muscles are not able to relax completely. Few dogs tend to doze off in this position easily.

Whatever position, your furry-pal is sleeping in, the more curled they are, the less likely that they are in deep sleep.
